Artist whose multidisciplinary practice blurs the boundaries between art and everyday reality, balancing complex geometry with organic materials and elements of chance.

Gabriel Orozco, born in Jalapa in 1962, emerged in the early 1990s with a multidisciplinary practice spanning drawing, photography, sculpture, installation, and painting. Rooted in the cultural milieu of Mexico City, his work consistently blurs the boundaries between art and everyday realities.

His distinctive approach often balances complex geometry with organic materials and elements of chance, transforming ordinary objects and situations into profound artistic statements. Orozco's keen observation of the world around him informs a body of work that is both intellectually rigorous and playfully experimental.

Beyond gallery exhibitions, Orozco has undertaken significant public projects, including the Orozco Garden in London and the master plan for Chapultepec Park in Mexico City. His architectural public project, the Calzada flotante (Floating Causeway), further exemplifies his commitment to integrating art into the fabric of daily life.
