David Harrison creates paintings, drawings, and sculptures that merge the natural and supernatural, drawing on myth, folklore, and personal biography to explore contemporary themes.

David Harrison's paintings, drawings, and sculptures invite viewers into a world where the natural and supernatural coexist. He expands the languages of contemporary art by incorporating elements often overlooked—age-old symbols, fanciful myths, irrational beliefs, and traditional genres like landscape. This approach allows him to speak vividly about our present time and reinvigorate his chosen disciplines.

His work gives shape to a complete imaginative universe, reminiscent of Romantic visionaries. It is rich with references to the natural world and populated by figures and animals drawn from myths, legends, modern politics, and his own life. While human presence often appears ignorant or destructive, animal and plant life embody eternal knowledge and good sense.

Based in London, Harrison has exhibited widely across the UK, Europe, and the US, including shows at the Royal Academy of Art, The Whitechapel Gallery, and Sargent's Daughters in New York. His practice continually explores the interplay between the seen and unseen, the ancient and the contemporary, through a distinctive visual language.
